Thinking about…dead flowers

It’s been on of those odd weeks that normally only happens before Christmas, when the arrival of elderly relatives is imminent, or, like now, in the spring. I have been obsessed with cleaning, all the windows have been open wide and I’ve even gone to the lengths of moving furniture and organising the present cupboard…no small task.

It was during this time that I noticed just how many bunches of dead flowers I have about my home. Not limp, sludgy, lumps gently rotting in their vase, but perfectly dried, Miss Haversham esc blooms that take on their own unique beauty in contrast to their fresh beginnings.

They are so beautiful I decided to put them to good use. By Bethany is in midst of organising a new project, which we can’t discuss quite yet, but we used my dried roses for one of our promotional images.
