British Flower Week – Day Three

Day Three of British Flower Week, with Bloomsberry Flowers celebrating the Allium.

Mark Welford and Stephen Wicks, (who happen to be the most lovely gentlemen, as well as very gifted florists), have used 10-12 different varieties of allium (did you know there were so many!?) to created a gorgeous summer door wreath, which I’m a little in love with, a large installation, and a table design. Which I have to say reminds me a little of an ice cream.

The pair stated that ‘the inspiration for their rustic containers came from objects you might find in allotments’ and that they wished for the ‘versatility’ of the bloom to be showcased, so they were ‘deconstructed them to create the door wreath’.

If you would like to see today’s flowers as they unfold, or find events being held near you, you can do so, here.
